Adoption And Remembering Martin Luther King Jr.
Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day! Today I wanted to show you a sampling of families who I know are all thankful to all the many thousands of people who have fought for equality for all the beautiful shades of the rainbow. I don't say the word race because that is word of division. We are all ONE RACE celebrating the beautiful creativity of our Lord and Savior.
Thank you doesn't sound adequate enough, but that is what this post is about. Thank you for those who have stood together and faced enemies. Thank you to those who took those steps to stand up for LOVE. Thank you to those who have fought for our freedoms and paid with your life. Thank you for your huge amounts of courage. Thank you for repeating over and over we shall overcome. Thank you for allowing our families to exist.
Will we have problems- yes. Will we keep moving forward- yes. Will we remember those who have gone before us- I pray we do so that we can continue to build a great nation.
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.

We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'
Martin Luther King, Jr.
We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
The time is always right to do what is right.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality... I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
We may have all come on different ships, but we're in the same boat now.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle. And so we must straighten our backs and work for our freedom. A man can't ride you unless your back is bent.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
If a man has not discovered something that he will die for, he isn't fit to live.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
There can be no deep disappointment where there is not deep love.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be. This is the interrelated structure of reality.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
The first question which the priest and the Levite asked was: 'If I stop to help this man, what will happen to me?' But... the good Samaritan reversed the question: 'If I do not stop to help this man, what will happen to him?'
Martin Luther King, Jr.
I just want to do God's will. And he's allowed me to go to the mountain. And I've looked over, and I've seen the promised land! I may not get there with you, but I want you to know tonight that we as a people will get to the promised land.

From my beautiful family to yours.....
